SCHOLARSHIP CHANGES in 2022:
The Board has observed that recent awardees tend to take on-line courses instead of traveling to in-person classes or conferences. As a result, the Board has therefore changed the annual scholarship award from two $200 awards to four reimbursement scholarships of a maximum of $100.00 each.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

Have been a Member of the Houston Calligraphy Guild for 2 or more years and have not won the scholarship for 4 or more years.
The awardee is required to present an Early Bird or Meeting Program to the guild about what you have learned within the 2022-2023 year following your award. In addition, the program given by the awardee can ONLY be given as an Early Bird or Meeting Program.
If the above required presentation is not made within the time frame noted, you will be required to return the funds.

PLEASE NOTE ON FEE REIMBURSEMENT:
The scholarship is a reimbursement scholarship up to the amount of $100. The actual amount reimbursed will be based on the receipts for tuition (not supplies or travel) submitted to the Treasurer and not to exceed $100.

COMPLETING THE APPLICATION:

Please list in priority order, the details of the three classes that you are considering taking with this award so that the Vice President can schedule the required follow-on program within the year.
