SEPTEMBER MEETINGWelcome back to a new Guild Year!
EARLY BIRD – SECRET PAL POSTPONEDDue to the storms that have affected our area, we know that some of our buddies are dealing with the much more important job of getting their lives back in order, or housing those in need. The Secret Pal Reveal will occur next month, October 14. So... please hold onto the goodies that you received from your Pal; you have a chance to even catch up or pop something else into the mail. We’ll remind everyone again in the October Blast. We know that you all want to visit a bit with each other at the meeting, so you can still come early and catch up with everyone, before our fabulous program.
If you know now that you will not be attending the October meeting, you can bring any items that you would be giving to your Secret Pal at the Reveal. –. Please put it in a large envelope, identify who it’s from (you) and to whom it goes and give it to Wolf to keep for October.
PROGRAMS:THE NEW WEBSITE
Mimi Reilly assisted by Debbie Dutton and with long discussion hours put in by the Board is excited to introduce the updated website, which will sustain and grown our Guild while improving all our operations.
WHAT I DID ON MY SUMMER VACATIONS!
For those who attended LetterWorks and IAMPETH, bring your wonderful work to “show and share” with the members. Also, for those who participated in the Gemma Black workshop, the Summer Study or any other independent study that you pursued – bring your work, also.
WAYS & MEANS
After a long summer with no Ways & Means purchases, I know y’all are itching to buy!!! We have new items donated by Debbie Dutton and, evidently, “all the stamps in the world” donated by Troy Brooks (I must admit, I’ve made that mistake on eBay myself)!!! Bring your cash or checkbooks! - Cyndi and Pam
Correction to previous Blast: Those writers actually responsible for birthday cards this summer were: May - Cori Austin June - Dawn Hurst July - Terry Hausner Aug. - Pattie Murchison If you got a card from one of these Team members and enjoyed it, please let her know.
VALENTINES FOR VETS
Please bring your completed Valentine blanks/envelopes to the September 9th meeting. We need to know what our count is, and how many more Valentines we will need to generate. If you can’t come to the September meeting, please contact Sue Cox at 713-981-5676 to make arrangements to get them to her.
